So crazy I haven't even had a chance to blog! Today I want to talk about purchasing decisions. Yesterday after church, I was walking out to my car when something caught my eye. There was this bright orange Genuine Buddy Scooter parked on our sidewalk. Now for a while I have been wanting a scooter. I live in the perfect city for a scooter and they get 100 mpg. You can't beat that! Well after looking at this scooter for a while outside our building, I decided that the next day I was going to go buy one. Well, the next day has come and I have been to the scooter store twice already today. No, I haven't bought one yet. Luckily, I have a great wife who does not function the way I do and really has to think about what decision to make. For some reason I have been this way my whole life. There are not many things I want to buy but when I do I want to do it then. I really don't like patience. I think it takes way to long. Does anyone feel my pain?

If a cow laughs to hard will milk come out of its nose?

Things You Miss

This blog is going to be a short one cause I'm short on time. Back in the day I used to play golf about everyday or at least go hit range balls. I even was on a golf scholarship at a university. But ever since I started playing music full-time my golf days have dwindled. This past week I have played twice! Before this week it had been almost a year since I had even picked up a club. I didn't realize how much I really enjoyed golfing and missed playing until this week. It's like seeing an old friend that you haven't seen in years. You get pretty excited and you want to spend all of your time with them. I think sometimes we let our lives get so busy that we forget to take the time to do that thing that brings joy to us. Not that I'm not happy about what I do. I love what I do and love putting my time and effort into it. I just don't think I should give up everything I love to do it. Is there anything like that in your life? Maybe you need to take time to enjoy something that you haven't done in a long time. I don't know, maybe it's golfing, playing basketball, reading, scrap booking(my mom & wife), running, or hanging out with your kids or spouse. Enjoy!

Why do they report power outages on TV?

The Name Game

Yesterday marked a ground breaking event. I actually started blogging! I don't know if I can really count that one as an actual blog though. Why? It's kinda like the first day of class. We all go knowing that it's not really what class is going to be like. There are no assignments, no tests, no quizzes, no homework. But what is the one thing you can always count on on the first day of class? Syllabi! Out of the 4 going on 5 years of college I have attended so far (doesn't mean I'm close to graduating), there has never been a single first day of class that we haven't gone over the syllabus. I have no problem with the syllabus and what it stands for, they are great "roadmaps" on how to succeed in a class. The problem I have is that after 13 years of schooling, up until college (K-12), for some reason professors think that somewhere along the way we didn't learn to read. Although, we did have to make a certain score on our ACT or SAT and we did have to apply and be accepted by the college they are teaching at and still they don't believe we comprehend what we see on paper. You walk into any college classroom the first day of class and you will see the same scene in every single one. There will be a professor at the front of the room with a stapled packet of papers in his hand that matches the same packets of papers on the desk of every student in class and the professor will be reading word for word what is in it, as if we just don't understand the professor's great literary achievement. Someone needs to stop this madness!

Voice of the Silent Majority, that is the name of this blog. The illustration of the professor reading the syllabus is a good example of the meaning of the saying. Any of us who have sat through the day of the syllabus, all wish someone would just stand up and tell the professor that we can read, but no one does. Who am I the voice of? Well, here at LifeChurch when you are going through the hiring process, you are put through a series of test. Not like NFL combine physical tests to see how high in the LifeChurch draft you should go, but personality tests. I won't go into the detail of what the different personality types are but you can CLICK HERE to read about them and I think you can take a free test to find out your personality. I personally am an ISTJ which means Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging. For all of you who know what that means, you now know why this blogging thing is such a big deal for me and there must be something going wrong with my wiring. This is why it's called the voice of the silent majority. Because if the world was ran only by ISTJ's, blogging would have been kept as secret as Area 51. That's it! Hopefully that's a little insight into what you'll be reading from me. Maybe I'll shed a little light on what goes on inside the brain of an ISTJ.

Why isn't phonetic spelled the way it sounds?

Voice of the Silent Majority 1st Edition

If there was one thing in life that I could go without for the rest of my life it would probably, most definitely be writing down/sharing my thoughts, feelings, and opinions.
